The birth of the brand

At the heart of TUDOR

In February 1926, Hans Wilsdorf registered the trademark "The Tudor" and began manufacturing watches bearing this brand name on the dial. In the aftermath of the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf knew that the time had come to give the brand its momentum and its full identity. On March 6, 1946, he founded the company " Montres TUDOR S.A." specialising in models for men and women. The technical, aesthetic and functional characteristics would be guaranteed by Rolex, as would distribution and after-sales service.

The history of TUDOR

Hans Wilsdorf’s intuition

"For several years, I have studied the possibility of manufacturing a watch that our dealers could sell at a price lower than our Rolex watches and that would be worthy of the same traditional reliability. I therefore decided to found a separate company, with the aim of manufacturing and selling this new watch. This company is called "Montres TUDOR S.A.""

The art of traditional craftsmanship

The art of watchmaking

A TUDOR watch lives, vibrates, and carries you into the infinitely small. Precise. Technical in every component, tested down to the smallest detail. To the point of obsession. Immerse yourself in the movement. Aesthetics and performance take into account the constraints of an exceptionally demanding product, renowned for lasting as much as for delighting. For if the eye judges and the heart races, time must not take hold of this precision mechanism. Cases and bracelets are no exception. Exceptional materials, endurance, and the strength of the design make each watch a unique object.
